Student leadership conference being planned for this January and a staff workshop being planned for May.

CIRA Ontario Post Secondary Committee

In the Summer of 2008 several people (Grachella Garcia, John Byl.....) met to strengthen the post-secondary intarmural and campus recreation programs across Canada. A committee of people is being formed to help spearhead this initiative. The committee will be self-governing but will maintain liason with CIRA Ontario.

The major suggestion post-secondary folks had at the August meeting was to provide internet forums for professionals to dialogue through--instead of the current listserv. Those forums are now available on this new web site, complete with polling capabilities. Go to the forum, register through the button on the top menu of the forum page, ask your questions, respond to questions, or just search for topics you have an interest in.

We also plan to put free resources to download for users. Those free resources will have to come from you.

We are very excited by the opportunities this new website has to help the Canadian Post-Secondary Intarmural and Campus Recreation community serve their clients. Especially at this early stage please us know how we can make this web site more useful to you.

We do not want to make this a territorial thing, but help everyone in Canada do the best job we can. If there is any way we can help make this happen we are eager to listen. Do not worry about stepping on our toes. We welcome your comments and suggestions.
